Fallen oak log

Fallen oak log about 4.6 m long and 0.6-0.7 m across, lying half sunk in soil and leaf litter: deeply furrowed bark with patches fallen away to grey weathered wood and beetle galleries, an old sawn butt with growth rings, radial checks and a rotted hollow, a jagged splintered break at the other end, snapped branch stubs, bracket fungi, moss over the top and lichen. Static cover, a seat, something to climb over.
