Sky dock

Sky dock for flying mounts: a timber pier 8 m wide thrust 22 m out of a cliff on huge raking struts and a fan of braces, ending in a round landing pad 16 m across painted with a landing ring and lifting at its tip like a prow; mooring posts with iron rings, a tall perch arch hung with banners, rails, lanterns and a small dockmaster's hut at the root. Its back is a flat plane to set against a cliff. Honey-coloured timber, blue and white banners, warm lanterns.
