Stone gate arch (stylized)

gate_arch_stone_stylized_a · level.gates.arch_stone

Stylized cartoon version: chunky shapes with big rounded edges, thickened parts, a toy-like wider base and slightly hand-made wobble; bold flat colours with painted light (darker low down, lighter on top), small hardware and fine detail removed. Free-standing dressed limestone gateway arch for a town or courtyard, 5.35 m wide and 5.8 m tall with a 3.2 x 4.2 m round-headed opening: plinthed piers with impost mouldings, a voussoir arch with a keystone dated 1647, an inscribed frieze, a cavetto cornice and a saddleback coping. Heavy wear: cart-wheel scrapes and polished plinth corners, chipped arrises, moss and lichen, rising damp, rust runs below the iron gate pintles, masons' marks and travellers' graffiti.
