Bracken clump

Clump of bracken fern, about 1.2 m tall: a dozen fronds of different heights on stiff stipes, broad triangular tri-pinnate blades arching out and drooping at the tips, three hairy croziers still uncurling, a yellowing and a dead brown frond among the green, broken stems and dead pinnae in the litter at the base. Alpha-cutout cards for forest floors, clearings and hillsides.
