Timber harbour dock, 4 m module

Repeatable 4 m module of a creosoted timber harbour dock or jetty, 3 m wide: a four-pile bent with a pile cap and cross braces, seven joists and spiked plank decking, a rub rail and two fender piles on the berthing side, a cast iron bollard and horn cleat, and iron ladder rungs down a fender pile. Tar-black piles crusted with barnacles and weed below the tide line, salt-bleached grey deck, rope-polished cleat horns and brown rust on the ironwork.
