Stone dais, 4 m square

Raised square stone dais, 4 m across and 0.9 m high, for a castle courtyard, temple court, market square or arena: dressed limestone ashlar on a splayed plinth under a moulded edge course, a flagged top and three steps up on one side. Worn and chipped nosings, hollowed treads, a few cracked and sunk flags, grime in the joints, moss at the base corners and damp along the foot.
