Cobbled street, 4 m straight

Old-town cobbled street, a 4 m straight module 5.2 m wide that tiles seamlessly along a spline: a cambered carriageway of water-worn river cobbles set on end in rough courses, flat stone channels at both sides, long dressed granite kerbs with an 11 cm upstand and chipped arrises, and sandstone flag footways. Heavily used: dark polished cart-wheel tracks, horse-muck and oil stains, silt in the hollows, moss in the channels and weeds in the joints.
