Granite field boulder

Weathered grey granite boulder (glacial erratic), about 2.2 x 1.6 m and 1.3 m above the ground, sunk 0.15 m into a soil and grass skirt: planar joint and fracture faces with worn rounded edges, stepped exfoliation sheets, two deep cracks and crisp chips; speckled feldspar and quartz grains, clustered lichen colonies on the top and weather face, moss in the cracks and at the damp foot, rain streaks.
