Creeping-blight hand tree (leaning, tight braid)

Giant dead fantasy tree, semi-stylized and eerie: a trunk of strands braided like a rope that opens at the top into an upturned hand of fingers cupping an open palm, limbs ending in fiddlehead curls, roots arching over the ground. Corruption just setting in: walnut-violet bark with a dark crust, a single thin crimson vein creeping a short way up each strand, mostly withered leaves on thorny twigs and only a few corrupted blooms.
