Silver birch sapling

Young silver birch sapling about 3.7 m tall: a slender, slightly leaning 6 cm stem with chalk-white papery bark, dark lenticel dashes, black diamond fissures at the foot and black marks under the branches, whippy rising branches with hanging shoots of small serrated triangular leaves on alpha-cut cards, and a little grass and leaf litter at its foot.
