Timber palisade wall, 2 m module

Repeatable 2 m module of a frontier stockade: eight debarked logs about 23 cm across with axe-hewn points 2.9 to 3.1 m high, pegged to two half-round rails on the inside and bound under the points with woven rope. Heavy outdoor wear: sun-greyed checked wood, mud splash at the foot, moss in the cracks, rusty replacement spikes, a whitewashed section number outside and a nailed garrison notice inside.
